Production Technician in Training

  • Responsibilities

    • Assists in the assembly of machine components

    • Performs preventative and active maintenance on machine equipment including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and calibration

    • Trains to operate machinery

    • Builds and installs machine components

    • Liaises with suppliers to order components and materials

    • Cleans and tidies work areas and shared spaces

    • Assists with IT tasks

    • Assists with smooth running of company, performing duties on an as needed basis

Qualifications

Education: The ideal candidate will have a background in the physical sciences with some knowledge of chemistry and physics, but most importantly, a willingness to learn.

Technical/hard skills:

o Working knowledge of hand, power and electrical testing tools

o PLC Programming: experience with ladder logic would be an asset but is not required.

Computer skills: Strong computer application skills, including Word and Excel. Knowledge and experience with SolidWorks is an asset but is not required.

Teamwork: ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.

Working Hours: We operate on 8hrs pr day rotational shift schedule options (Monday-Friday/Tuesday-Saturday/Wednesday-Sunday/Thursday-Sunday) with a $2/hour pay bump for working a weekend shift.
